Playing Space Invaders, chatting online before the interwebs were even invented, and desktop publishing on Aldus Pagemaker way back in the day, Vicky has been a geek since before it was cool.
In 2000 she cofounded Plexipixel Inc. with her husband Matt Tamaru. A full-service interactive agency, Plexipixel is responsible for strategy through maintenance of digital advertising and marketing solutions for some of the biggest brands in the world such as Adidas, Microsoft, Sony and Volvo. Plexipixel has been called “among the upper echelon” for their ability to “embrace new technologies, push the envelope and express great creativity” by a Director of Product Management at Adobe.
In an increasingly fragmented and over-saturated world, Plexipixel's extensive experience in weaving the creative realms of design and tech into "unexpectedly sticky brand play"(tm) has given them a unique understanding of the importance of meaningful, engaging interactive marketing to the bottom line of any business. Vicky is the Branded Entertainment/Advertainment expert on Dunn & Bradstreet’s AllBusiness.com and has been syndicated on CBSnews.com, sfgate.com (San Francisco Chronicle’s website) and washingtonpost.com. She also sits on the Advertising Committee of the Casual Games Association and the Professional Action Committee for Digipen Institute of Technology, and speaks on topics related to the intersection of technology, social media, advertising, marketing, gaming and entertainment.
