Laura Porto Stockwell
I'm VP, Experience Strategy at POP, where I lead a team of user experience strategists in developing innovative digital solutions based on client goals and consumer insights. My first digital job was in 1994 as an online community reporter on a bulletin board system (complete with a dial-up connection) at The Seattle Times, and since that time I've developed digital brand, content and social media strategies for clients including T-Mobile, Conde Nast, Ford, Microsoft and Sony Music. Prior to joining POP, I spent two years in traditional advertising teaching old dogs new tricks. Prior to that, I was an Experience Director in the New York and Seattle offices of Razorfish where I led the content strategy groups and served as a subject matter expert in social media. I speak regularly at industry events and at the University of Washington, which I very much enjoy. I hold a Master of Arts in Media Studies with a concentration in social media from The New School in New York City and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
