The newest release from the MIX Online team is Project Descry, that which demonstrates the power of data and information visualization as a communication tool. As a part of Descry, we are releasing a set of open source, web-based visualizations and an article that serves as a broad introduction to the topic. Ah...now I finally understand the connection between MIX and MIX Online. That was really confusing.

@discorax - Yeah, a bunch of people have found this confusing (and for good reason). I think we try to explain it on the About page, but we may need to do something more.
As for contributing, go to our "lab":http://visitmix.com/Lab and figure out what project you''re interested in, go to the project page, follow the link to CodePlex site to the project (usually codeplex.com/name_of_project, and start contributing there. Separately, we always love getting a discussion going on "Articles":http://visitmix.com/Articles and "Opinions":http://visitmix.com/Opinions.
