Countdown to MIX09: Internet Explorer 8 Says Hello World
Mar 6, 2009 By
At MIX this year there will be lots of IE8 goodness, including compatibility labs and a CodeFest. Internet Explorer 8 is Microsoft’s first web browser to support web standards by default, allowing developers to write code that runs across multiple browsers and platforms. All MIX09 attendees are invited to join the IE8 Engineering Team in the compatibility labs and at the CodeFest to answer your tough questions, troubleshoot and debug issues, and get the latest tips & tricks from the experts.

I hope IE8 is going to be better and faster then the other guys, otherwise it is going to be a dissapointent for me.
if IE8 doesn''t render CSS to standards then IE8 is a FAIL even if it has tons of new useful featrues...
I stopped using IE back when FF 1.0 came out...
I''m thinking of switching to Chrome as soon as it''s available for OSX....

follow up comment after watching the video...IE8 doesn''t need to be promoted within the Mix community, it needs to be promoted within the Web Development community, especially open source and NON-MS technology users...
Web slices...Accelerators...blah blah
WILL IT RENDER CSS/HTML CORRECTLY ACCORDING TO STANDARDS????
@discorax: Yes, it will render CSS/HTML correctly according to the standards. Most of the MIX audience build web sites for a living, so this improved standards support will make their lives easier.
